Cricket Finishes!

We got three girls kind of in a row. Calli from River's first litter, Cricket, a River niece (Mimi x Chance) and then Lilly.

Cricket is a special girl. She's a thinker, she's quiet, ridiculously tolerant of anything the kids do to her and she comes alive only in the field! She loves the field so much! She could do without the show ring, so long as she can hunt. She finished with 4 majors and a few spare points. She is just gorgeous and we love her! She is hanging with Paul Doiron right now, getting broke and enjoying life. Paul loves her for her easy-going nature and intensity in the field. She can be a bit hit and miss, but when she is on, she's on! She placed 4th in the futurity in March.

Lilly Finishes!

Lilly is another River baby girl that we got right after River passed away, one short week to be precise. It was terribly painful to be without him and though we didn't want to make any rash decisions by getting a puppy, we were open to the idea of co-owning one of them with Kristina Rickard, who was promised the pick puppy. We went up to evaluate the litter and could not leave without this little Scarlet puppy. She was just perfect. Just perfect.

She didn't start to show until she was 8 months old, at the National Specialty. She won the little puppy match to start with, which was full of gorgeous puppies. She then went on to win Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Puppy at the Brittany National. She didn't get shown again until the weekend of the Summer Specialty in Vallejo, Ca, with Kristina Rickard. She got RWB the first day, Best of Winners (5 points) the 2nd day at the NorCal Brittany Specialty, Winners Bitch the 3rd day for the Summer Specialty (final 5 points) and Select Bitch on the final day of the weekend for her first 5 Grand champion points. A few weekends later, she got another 6 grand points at a smaller show in California.

She is amazing, we are thankful every day for her as we miss our boy. She takes the edge off the pain a little bit. We are looking forward to a wonderful show and field career for her.
