One week old

The little pups are thriving. We weigh them 2x a day and they are going up about 1 ounce per day, like a baby:) They are drawn to their momma like little magnets. Their little tails were docked on Sunday and their dewclaws removed. Mary still sleeps right next to them all night, making sure they find their way back to mom if they end up on the other side of the whelping box, or turning on the heat lamp if it gets too cold. They got their toe nails trimmed for the first time today. Some of them are a bit on the dramatic side and some just fall asleep when they get comfy in your hands.

Day Old Photos

The puppies have come! Mom and pups are doing well the next day. She was so relaxed and comfortable that it helped the process go seamlessly. Puppies are all at a good weight and look good today. Here is a link to see our initial photos. Don't worry if you've never seen day old puppies, they get a lot cuter!

The Countdown begins!!

THE pups are due next week. We took Pebbles in for an X-ray, we as in Mom, me, baby, Caleb and Josiah! We got great news, Pebbles has 9 little puppies nestled inside of her. We are working hard to make sure all of these puppies have fantastic forever homes before they are even born - they will be loved for sure! If you try to count, look for their little skulls.

Great Mission Circuit Weekend

We love going down to the Mission Circuit. Mom and I get to see all of our long-time friends and go to some great shows. This year was no exception. We finished River last year at these shows and we came back with more maturity and experience. River came out of a great field season just the week before, finishing at the Sporting Gun Dog National Trials in Reno, NV. Paul and Peggy, as always sent him back to us in excellent condition, so after a few baths and long grooming sessions, he was ready to hit the ring.

He won an Award of Merit at the San Diego Brittany Club Specialty, a Select Dog at the California Brittany Club Specialty and a Best of Breed on Monday, with a supported entry. Here is a photo of us from Monday.
